The FSB is inviting CLBC members to take part in the high-profile Preston Guild Trades Procession on Saturday September 1st at 10am.
They have places for up to 50 members to attend to promote their businesses, free of charge, to the thousands expected to line the streets for the Procession which takes place just once every 20 years.
The Procession takes place in and around Preston City Centre and the 2 mile route is expected to take 3 hours to complete. Members can attend in uniform or with the tools of their trade, or FSB will also be providing FSB-branded t-shirts for members that would prefer this option.
To book your places in the Trades Procession please contact the FSB Development Manager - firstname.lastname@example.org
To celebrate England's participation in the European Football Championships (and the start of the Summer), CLBC member company Ad-Options Ltd will be giving away 20 “Come on England” coasters and 100 wristbands to lucky fans of their BlankKeyrings.co.uk Facebook page.
To enter, simply like the page on Facebook and submit your name and email details on the page’s competition tab here. If you can also correctly answer the special quiz question at the same time, you’ll be entered into a draw to win one of 10 England desk sets (comprising a genuine Brite-mat mouse mat and two coasters). The competition and give-away follows a design make-over for the Facebook page by fellow club member and social media specialist, Sally Gorton of Bang the Drum Consulting.
Ad-Options MD, Steve Ward, said "I hope members like our new Facebook page. We think Sally has done a great job for us, just as she has done for the CLBC new website.”
The success of CLBC's May meeting - at which we enjoyed some delicious cheese, beer and presentations from Dewlay Cheeses, Waitrose and 'Foody Phil' - was followed by the below coverage in the Lancashire Evening Post.
Thank you to everyone who attended and presented. Here's to a great many more evenings like it!
