May Meeting - Autism Awareness in the Workplace

Tuesday, 6th May 2014 at 8pm - 10pm

Location: Best Western Leyland Hotel, Leyland Way, Leyland, PR25 4JX

This event is in the past.

More often than not we hear about Autism in the context of young children - yet autism is a lifelong developmental disability and awareness of the daily challenges faced by adults onthe autism spectrum is important for anyone working in a frontline or customer service role.

This meeting will hear from Denise Edwards, whose training and support organisation - Ideas Lancashire - delivers awareness training for anyone whose jobs may bring them into contact with people with autism.

Denise will share an insight into her drivers for starting up in business, the lessons she has learned and also some of the things you can do to make your workplace and customer-facing services more 'autism-friendly'.

Starting at 8pm, this meeting will take place at the Best Western Leyland Hotel, which is adjacent to junction 28 of the M6. The bar will be open and members are encouraged to bring guests whom you feel may benefit from introduction to our club.

We look forward to seeing you there!
